Haiti
Earthquake Relief: Over the coming weeks, St.
Matthew’s will receive special offerings designated to
support the relief effort of Lutheran World Relief for
Haiti. A basket is located in the rear of the Sanctuary in
which you can place your gift. Please make your check
payable to St. Matthew’s and on the memo line indicate
“LWR.” As a nation responded to the Charleston earthquake
of 1886, so we – in kind – respond to those who are
suffering today.
From the Pastor
Cheri and I thank you for all of the greetings and kind
expressions of welcome we received during Christmas. When
we returned from visiting Cheri’s folks the week following
Christmas, Cheri expressed what we were both feeling, “It
feels like we’re returning home.” We look forward to our
life together this year in God’s amazing grace! Pastor
Robert & Cheri.
Friends: Over the next two weeks, I become a student taking
a course at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California.

January 30 and offer the sermon the next day. You will be
in my thoughts and prayers each day. Together in Christ,
