missed! Tickets are on sale for the
Fall Oyster Roast/"Pearls of Wisdom" Silent Auction
to benefit our
Outreach Learning Center. The event is next Sunday,
November 22 from 3-6 PM at the Elks Lodge, 1113 Sam
Rittenberg & features folk, bluegrass band "Wood and
Steel". The menu includes steamed oysters, fish stew, hot
dogs, Cole slaw, dessert. BYOB. Tickets are $20
in advance/ $25 at the gate and $10 for children under 12.

For those of you who are looking for an alternative gift
idea this Christmas season, we will have tables set up in
the Education hallway beginning next Sunday, November 22
for
Christmas Bags of Caring, Angel Tree, Gifts of Hope and
Fair Trade. Tables will be up through
December 13th.

Education Building by the elevator. Sondra Pfaehler and

The Mother’s Lounge is available to use anytime.
The Respite Care
Library next to the Fellowship Room in the Education
Building has a rocking chair and privacy screen. A changing
table is located at the back of the stage.
Shepherd Ministry
The
purpose of St. Matthew’s Shepherd Ministry is to create,
maintain and sustain loving and caring relationships within
the life of our church family. If anyone in the
congregation has not been contacted by their Shepherd,
please call the Shepherd Leader, Janelle Othersen.
COASTAL CONFERENCE FALL GATHERING – TODAY 3:00 – 5:45
PM. The
congregation of St. Matthew’s is invited to join with all
the Coastal Conference congregations at Advent Lutheran
Church, 3347 Rivers Avenue, N. Charleston
(parking available
across the street), for an afternoon of “Desserts
‘n Dreaming”. This all Conference, all Church event is for
all ages! Childcare is provided for infants and
preschoolers. Sarah Bates, Cindy Greenwood, Jenni, Courtney
& Caroline Linkous will gather with children K-5 at the
“Dream Scene” for activities, drama, stories, decorating
cookies and making art. Nancy Romness has created the art
activity. 6th Grade – Adults will meet in
Advent’s Fellowship Hall to gather input on how we can
focus our synod resources for the sake of “God’s Dream” in
fun and creative ways.

We’re getting ready for our
annual Children’s Christmas Musical. Families with children
in Ages 2-3 through 6th Grade classes, please pick up a
music CD in the Education Hallway.
Spark! Story Bible (for ages 2 – grade 2) is
available to purchase for $15 in the Education Hallway.
A
CHRISTMAS CAROL written by Charles Dickens and
directed by Melinda Summer will presented as a Radio Show
this Wednesday, November 18, in the Auditorium.
