Sign Up or Make a Donation for the Crop Walk
in the courtyard today. The Crop Walk will be November 15 at 2:00pm in Hampton Park. Funds raised support world hunger relief.

Next Sunday, November 15
th, is Coat Sunday. You are encouraged to bring a new or “gently” used coat which will be distributed by our Outreach Center and Tri-county Ministry to those in need this holiday season.

Not to be missed!   Tickets are on sale now for the
Fall Oyster Roast/ "Pearls of Wisdom" Silent Auction to benefit our Outreach Learning Center. The event is Sunday, November 22 from 3-6 PM at the Elks Lodge, 1113 Sam Rittenberg & features folk, bluegrass band "Wood and Steel". The menu includes steamed oysters, fish stew, hot dogs, Cole slaw, dessert.   BYOB. Tickets are $20 in advance/ $25 at the gate and $10 for children under 12. Tickets are available at the Outreach Center, on line at www.connectinghands.org or from any OLC board member.   See you there. 

Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six week educational series designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for another person, will be held every Monday, from 10:30 am-12:00 pm, November 9- December 14. Please call Laura Stefanelli (Respite Care) at 723-1611 x 15 with any questions. Registration is easy but required.

There will be a Candlelight Service to honor caregivers of those with dementia at Franke at Seaside on Thursday, November 12 at 3:00 pm. The public is invited.

      will be December 20 at 9:45AM. We’ll rehearse as a group on Sunday, December 13, 9:45 in the Auditorium. Dress rehearsal is Saturday, December 19, 9:30 – 11:00. Ages 2-3 Class – Grade 6 children be sure to pick up your music CD in the Education Hallway today so you can practice the songs at home.

      Shepherd Ministry -
      The purpose of St. Matthew’s Shepherd Ministry is to create, maintain and sustain loving and caring relationships within the life of our church family. If anyone in the congregation has not been contacted by their Shepherd, please call the Shepherd Leader, Janelle Othersen.


      COASTAL CONFERENCE FALL GATHERING
      November 15, 3:00 – 5:45 pm

      The congregation of St. Matthew’s is invited to join with all the Coastal Conference congregations at Advent Lutheran Church, 3347 Rivers Avenue, N. Charleston, for an afternoon of “Desserts ‘n Dreaming.” This all Conference, all Church event is for all ages! Childcare is provided for infants and preschoolers. Children K-5 will gather at the “Dream Scene” for activities, drama, stories, decorating cookies and making art. 6th Grade – Adults will meet in Advent’s Fellowship Hall to gather input on how we can focus our synod resources for the sake of “God’s Dream” in fun and creative ways. All ages will gather for a time of worship at the close of the event.
