If
you desire prayer for any reason, our Prayer Partners will
receive you in the Chapel after you have communed.
If you have a notice, announcement, concern, thought or
other comment that you wish to leave for the church staff,
please sign your name.
We are unable to handle unsigned concerns and
requests.
The
Re-interment Service at Bethany Cemetery
will be held at 2:30
pm today.
The
curbside parking spots in front of St. Matthew’s
church buildings are now reserved
parking each Sunday morning. In particular we make
these spaces available for those who have a special need to
park closer to the builder – e.g. the handicapped, those
who find walking difficult, the parent handling infants and
other small children. If you are using one of these
spaces, please stop by the office and get a parking notice
for your windshield.
We are now taking orders for poinsettias for the decoration
of the church December 20th.
Please note that this year the deadline to order is
November 25th
which is earlier than previous years. Poinsettia Order Forms are
available in the Narthex on the shelf and the Church
Office. If you have questions, call Debarah in the office
at 723-1611.
Volunteers
are needed to cook for Campus Ministry. Lutheran Campus Ministry meets
Tuesday at 6:00pm in the Outreach Learning Center and
enjoys home-cooked dinners prepared by St. Matthew’s
members. We feed around 12 students each week, including an
occasional vegetarian. If you’d like to provide a meal,
please contact Matt Canniff-Kuhn or sign-up in the
Education Hallway.
We
will be collecting coats during the service on November
15, for
distribution to our Outreach Center and Tricounty Family
Ministries. All sizes are needed for men, women and
children. Remember those in need as you clean out your
closets this fall.
Patsy Saunders will be in the courtyard so that you can
register for the
Crop Walk to
be held November 15 at 2:00 pm in Hampton Park. Come join
the St. Matthew’s team.
An Oyster Roast/Silent Auction to benefit our Outreach
Center is to
be held on November 22nd. The planning committee is
looking for your help to procure useful, fun or interesting
items. Any help is appreciated in acquiring
donations. Call the center if you need a packet of
information to share with a business or to share a
donation. Thank you for your support. 579-0420.
