XYZ Singles Lunch is today at 12:30 pm. All single ladies 55 & over are invited to join for lunch at the Holiday Inn Riverview.

Outreach Center needs an ESL tutor to teach either Tuesday or Thursday, 9:30-11:30 am, or Monday or Wednesday evening 6:30-8:30 pm. Introduction to English class. Orientation, teacher’s guide and student book for lesson plans provided. Contact Hayden Shook, ESL Program Manager, 579-0420

St. Matthew’s Day will be celebrated next Sunday, September 20th. Our Picnic in the Park will be held at James Island County Park – Edisto Hall, 1:00-6:30PM. (Lunch will be served from 1:30-3:00PM). Cost: Adults - $5.00; Children under 12- $3.00. Please call Donna Kidd for reservations

First Communion Celebration with banner procession will be on Reformation Sunday, October 25, at 11:00 Worship.

    A Christmas Carol Radio Show returns to St. Matthew’s! Mark Romness has offered this wonderful opportunity again for the youth/adults at St. Matthew’s to perform Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The show will be recorded in front of an audience. Mark will then have it available during December for everyone to listen to on the internet www.kirkenmin.com which is same website where weekly Sunday Worship can be heard. The first planning meeting is Wednesday, September 16, 7:00 PM. We’ll read through the script and learn about all the opportunities for helping with the show. Director: Melinda Summer
