XYZ Trip September 15 – 21, 2009 – Fall Trip to Ozark Mountains: We still have openings for St. Matthew’s adults “50” and over. Cost per person: $995.00 double occupancy, $1,497.00 single occupancy, includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, 7 days/6 nights lodging, five dinners, two lunches, breakfast every morning, all tours, taxes & gratuities including the motorcoach driver. ELCA National Youth Gathering will be held in New Orleans, July 22-25. Please remember in prayer those who will be attending: Catherine Singletary, Will Cappelmann,
J.P. Prickett, Amanda Bates, Ron Rodigue, Sarah Bates and Matt Canniff-Kuhn.

Book of Faith Initiative
In 2007 the ELCA churchwide assembly voted to embrace
an initiative called Book of Faith. The bold vision for this
five-year initiative is:
That the whole church become more
fluent in the first
language of faith, the language of
Scripture, in order that we might live into our calling as a
people renewed, enlivened, empowered, and sent by the
Word.

    Volunteers Needed for the Thrivent Builds with Habitat house being constructed in the Brownswood Community on Johns Island - Thrivent Financial members in particular. If you can work any Saturday in July or August (or any day) contact Molly Coffey outreach@seaislandhabitat.org to register and receive directions and scheduling information.   If you have questions, contact Pastor Dick Campbell at 270-2580.  This build will mean new life for a Johns Island family!!
